While we’ve made great strides over the years, there are still many barriers of entry for young Latino filmmakers who want to bring Latino stories to the big screen. Still I Rise Films has set 11 recipients for its inaugural Still I Rise Films Fellowship, a program that will offer financial and mentorship support to complete winners’ 15- to 30-minute short films. The list came from more than 90 submissions, with a total of $55,000 in support to be donated.
